When activating a new Microsoft 365 subscription, errors may occur if recurring billing is not disabled in your Microsoft account.

In this case, you need to disable billing in your personal account.

1) Sign in to Microsoft 365 using the email address and password of the Microsoft account associated with your Microsoft 365 subscription.

2) Open the Services and Subscriptions page.

3) On the Services and Subscriptions page, find the subscription for the Microsoft 365 product you need and click “Manage”.

4) Then do one of the following:

If you see the link “Turn off recurring billing”, click it.

If you see only the link “Cancel” or “Cancel subscription”, click it. Scroll to the bottom and you will see “Turn off recurring billing”.

Then, Scroll to the bottom and click “i don’t want my subscription”.

After this, automatic billing will be disabled and related errors should disappear.
