When installing Windows (any version) and entering the product key during installation, you may encounter the message:

“The product key entered does not match any of the Windows images available & for installation. Enter a different product key.”

Let’s consider what reasons could cause this and how to fix them.

1) Make sure that the Windows application you are installing matches the version of the product key. For example: If you have a Windows 10 Pro installer, the product key should also be for Windows 10 Pro. Download the correct installer for your product key.

2) If you are installing the “Enterprise” version of Windows and trying to activate it with a corporate key, make sure that your installer is not an “Evaluation version” – learn more about the Evaluation version of Windows on the next page.

3) Additionally, you can skip entering the key during system installation. Try activating the system after it has been installed.
