Universal USB Installer – This is a simple yet quite functional utility for writing various installers to a flash drive as a bootable device. That is, the utility allows you to create a bootable flash drive for subsequent installation of the operating system from it. It also allows you to write the operating system (for example, Windows) to the drive for direct booting of the OS from the device, rather than installing it, which is also a quite useful function.

The process of writing a installer to a flash drive using Universal USB Installer is extremely simple. Launch the utility and click on the dropdown menu in “Step 1”.
In the dropdown menu, there will be a selection of various installer versions, mainly different Linux installers. However, in our case, we will be writing Windows 10 to the flash drive, so scroll down to the bottom of the list and select “Windows 10 Installer“.
As we can see, there is a “Windows to Go” option – this is for writing Windows to the flash drive for booting the OS directly from the device, rather than installing it.
In Step 2, click the “Browse” button and select the Windows installer you downloaded previously on your computer. If you don’t have a installer, you can download installers of different Windows versions from our catalog on the next page.
In Step 3, select your flash drive. Regarding formatting, you can choose any format (NTFS or FAT32), but we recommend formatting as FAT32, as it is a more universal format for a bootable flash drive. Attention! After formatting, everything previously recorded on the flash drive will be irreversibly deleted.
After all, click “Create”.
To confirm formatting, click “Yes”.
Now all you have to do is wait for the installer to be written to the flash drive.
After completion, you’ll see the message “Process is Complete!”
Now you can reboot your PC and set your flash drive as the first boot option in Bios/UEFI to start the operating system installation.
