1. Download the Installer:
– We recommend installing one of the most extended editions – Windows Vista Business. You can download the installer from our website on the next page.
2. Create a Bootable USB Drive:
– Once you have downloaded the installer, you need to write it to a USB flash drive, making it bootable. Instructions: How to make a bootable flash drive.
3. Set the USB Drive as the Boot Device in BIOS:
– You need to set the USB drive as the boot device in the BIOS and boot from it. Since many BIOS interfaces differ, there is no single instruction, but you can find an approximate guide in our previous article.
4. Begin Installation:
– The first window will be the language and layout selection. Choose the necessary options and click “Next”.
– Click “Install now”.
– Accept the license terms.
– Choose “Custom (advanced)” as we are doing a clean install.
– Select the partition or disk where the system will be installed. In our case, there is only one partition (you may have several). Select the appropriate one and click “Next”.
5. Wait for Files to Copy and Installation to Complete:
– The system will reboot a couple of times.
– After rebooting from the previous window, there will be a loading screen with dots, which may take about 5 minutes.
– Wait for the installation to complete.
6. Set Up User and PC Information:
– Enter the user name and password if desired.
– Enter the computer name.
– Optionally, set update preferences.
– Set the time and time zone.
– For network settings, select the location where your PC will be used.
7. Prepare the Desktop:
– Wait while the system prepares your desktop.
8. Activate Your System:
– Your system is now ready to use, but it needs to be activated as it only has a 3-day trial period. To activate the system, you need a product key.
