In this article, we will explain how to install or “deploy” Microsoft Office LTSC 2021, including Project and Visio, for organizational users. We will also show you how to activate Microsoft Office LTSC 2021.
Before performing any actions, make sure you have removed any previous version of Microsoft Office. Instructions on how to do this are available on our website.
You will also need to activate your future Office LTSC 2021 with a genuine product key. You can purchase it from our catalog.

– The first thing do you need is to download the Office Deployment Tool (ODT) from the official Microsoft website. Click “Download” and save it in a separate folder.
– Next, you need to download the .xml configuration file, which we will create on the official Microsoft website.
1) Select the architecture you need depending on your PC, in our case, it is x64.
2) In the “Office Suites” section, select the product you need, in our example, it is “Office LTSC Professional Plus 2021 – Volume License.”
3) Select the Visio version if you need it.
4) Also select the Project version.
5) Then go to the “Language” section and select the primary language, in our case it is English.
6) Now scroll to the very bottom and go to the menu on the right. Here you need to download what we have created. Click “Export”.
7) Select the format, in this case, we need XML. Check the box next to “Office Open XML formats” and click “OK.”
8) Accept the terms and name the XML file Configuration. Then click “Export” and save the XML file in the same folder where you previously downloaded the Office Deployment Tool (ODT).
Now we are ready to start the installation. Both files in our example are saved in the “Downloads” folder.
9) Right-click and run as administrator the officedeploymenttool_17531-20046.exe file.
– Click “Yes.”
10) Accept the license agreement, check the box next to “Click here to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms.”
– Then click “Continue.”
11) Then select the folder where you previously downloaded our XML file. In my case, it is still the “Downloads” folder.
– Click “OK” and all files will be extracted. One setup.exe file and four new XML files will appear.
12) Now we need to copy the path to our folder where all the files we downloaded and extracted are located. Go to your folder (in my case it is “Downloads”) and right-click in an empty space next to its path. Then click “Copy address.”
13) Next, go to “Start” and type “cmd” in the search. Right-click and run the command prompt as administrator.
14) In the opened command prompt, type cd then press “Space” and paste the copied path, using Ctrl+V. Press “Enter.” This will open the folder in the command prompt, and all subsequent commands entered will apply to the files inside it.
15) Now enter the following command: setup /download configuration.xml
Where configuration.xml is the name of you file created on the Microsoft website. If you saved the configuration.xml file with a different name, use that name in the command.
Press “Enter,” and the download of the Office LTSC 2021 installation files to the local network will begin. Nothing will be displayed on the command prompt screen, but the download will be in progress. While the download is in progress, you will not be able to type anything in the command prompt. Once it is finished, you will be able to type again, indicating that all files have been downloaded.
After this procedure, an “Office” folder will appear next to all other files.
16) Then enter the installation command: setup /configure configuration.xml.
– Press “Enter,” and the final installation of Office LTSC 2021 will begin.
Upon completion, you will be able to close the installation window and verify in the “Applications” section that all the needed Office LTSC versions have been successfully installed.
– Open any of the installed Office LTSC 2021 applications. In our example, this is Word.
– Go to the “Account” section and select “Change Product Key.” If you do not have a Microsoft account, instructions on how to create one are available on our website.
– Then enter your purchased Office LTSC 2021 product key.
With this, the installation and activation of Office LTSC 2021 are complete!
