Sometimes, when installing the Microsoft Office package, an error may occur with the following content: "Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.".

Let's consider various ways to fix this situation:

1) The first point usually applies only to Windows 7 - you need to install the Visual C++ libraries. Download and install the C++ package, then restart your PC and check the Office installation.

2) It's possible that residual files from a previous MS Office installation are causing a conflict during the new installation. Use the official Microsoft utility to remove remnants of Microsoft Office. Download and follow the instructions on the next page. Afterward, restart your PC and try to install Office again.

3) Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Temp

Right-click on the Temp folder, open "Properties" => "Security" and add full permissions for your local user.

In addition, we recommend using only genuine Microsoft Office installers, which you can download from our catalog.
