If you encounter the WINWORD.EXE error when launching Microsoft Office applications, there are several ways to fix this issue.
1) Through the “Repair” option of the Microsoft Office suite. Make sure to perform the repair through the “Apps & features” menu, not through the “Control Panel”, as this method may not work otherwise. Right-click on the “Start” menu => Apps and features => find Microsoft Office there => Change => Online Repair.
2) If the above method does not help, it is recommended to reinstall Microsoft Office using the official utility from Microsoft – Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant. You can download it and find activation instructions in our previous article.
After uninstalling the application, download it again. You can download the original Microsoft Office installers from our catalog.
